The Centre
The RCE Graz-Styria (Regional Centre of Expertise) is the centre for sustainable social transformation at the University of Graz. We focus on transdisciplinary research projects and innovative educational opportunities to find practical answers to ecological and social challenges in the region.
At the RCE Graz-Styria we work as an interdisciplinary team and as part of a large network of partners from science and practice. Through the transdisciplinary concept of research and education in the field of sustainability, we respond to current challenges in different areas of society. In addition, we contribute to innovative further development of transformation research and transformative education in scientific discourse. The results we produce make a valuable contribution to social and scientific practice. They provide solutions for acute environmental changes.
Concrete RCE fields of action are socio-ecological transformation in general and sustainable housing, urban green space, sustainable mobility and solidarity-based economic activity in particular.
