Description:
EduCamp aims to promote Education for Sustainable Development in the Egyptian society. The project is the first initiative in Egypt that brings together universities and schools in a structured mechanism. Specific objectives are:

  • establishing seven Centres of Excellence at Egyptian universities to offer ESD trainings and activities,
  • developing EduCamp ESD Teaching and Learning Kits for school children, including more than 200 activities in the field of sustainability, agriculture, biodiversity, energy, and water, which are aligned with the Egyptian school curriculum,
  • developing innovative ESD teaching methodologies for school children,
  • developing and implementing a Training of Trainers Program for university professors, who will act as multipliers and train Egyptian school teachers,
  • constructing a virtual environment for sharing knowledge on ESD.
